Ementa

Pensar as relações internacionais na concepção de filósofos políticos e suas obras é buscar a compreensão de conceitos políticos e modelos de Estado ou sociedade considerados prioritariamente segundo sua universalidade e generalidade. O que não significa em absoluto abstrair das particularidades políticas e ou da reflexão política atual. Tal distanciamento teórico deve mesmo ser evitado se a concepção de filosofia política que desejamos tem um significado prático específico: o bem da humanidade. Conservar o que está de acordo com o “bem” público e mudar o que não está de acordo com ele é, na visão de Leo Strauss, o grande objetivo da filosofia política desde sua origem. Alguns elementos de filosofia das relações internacionais: Poder nacional e poder internacional globalizado; segurança nacional e segurança internacional; a “filosofia da guerra”: conflito internacional, guerra justa; a “filosofia da paz”: paz perpétua e mundos políticos possíveis; direito natural e direito positivo; tolerância e intolerância político-religiosa, ontem e hoje; cidade-estado e estado-nação: territórios e fronteiras; justiça e injustiça social nas relações internacionais; etc.

Analisar textos da obra "Politica" de Aristóteles.
Definir conceitos fundamentais da política
